Emma Q Dewey

Emma Q Dewey is the Resource Manager and Master Farmer at Center of Southwest Culture, working closely with the CODECE and Sembrando Salud programs. Emma grew up in the South Valley, where she developed a deep love and appreciation for agriculture, ecology and native medicinal plants.

In 2014, Emma completed a full farm apprenticeship program at a 30-acre certified organic farm, and has since worked with multiple local farm cooperatives, businesses and food hubs. Through these employment opportunities, she has gained experience in multiple facets of farming, from being a field crewmember to managing a large-scale food-hub delivery business, but her commitment and passion lies with community work and teaching others how to grow their own food while helping to regenerate and restore our native soils.
