Beatrice Armendariz

Beatrice Armendariz is a community organizer and behavioral health professional with  extensive experience in public service, education, wellness programming, and advocacy  throughout New Mexico. Raised in a rural, resource-limited community as one of nine  children, she brings a strong commitment to serving underserved populations and working  families in border communities, shaped by her heritage from father from Chihuahua and  her mother from Coahuila and grounded in her faith in God. 

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Graduate Certificate in Interdisciplinary  Studies: Psychology and Chemical Dependency from Western New Mexico University. Her  career includes leadership in behavioral health, community outreach, case management,  program development, and advocacy for agricultural workers and families in southern New  Mexico. Her current work is centered on advocacy for inclusion and support for individuals  with Down syndrome. 

Guided by her faith in God, her greatest accomplishment is her four sons. She enjoys an  active family life centered on school, sports, community involvement, and shared service.
