Story Riders
Rural Economic Development Program
Story Riders is a cycling program for Latino, Indigenous and POC children and youth that teaches STE(A)M and storytelling curriculum through a cultural lens.
The Rural Economic Development Program provides hands-on technical assistance to Indigenous and Mexicano/Chicano communities in creating new businesses. We do this by aiding participants in business incorporation, business plans, budgets, marketing plans and a host of other technical assistance training needed for a small business to succeed and thrive at high levels.
StoryRiders has provided services to 1600 participants and provided 500 free bicycles worth $150,000 to participants.
RED has provided hands-on small business technical assistance to many Indigenous and Mexicano/Chicano families and individuals who seek to create local economic opportunities for themselves and their communities through varied small business endeavors.
