Eliseo Curley
Hello, my name is Eliseo Curley. I am from Shiprock,NM located on the Navajo Nation. Growing up in Shiprock I have been exposed to farming through my grandparents, learning from them as well as other elders in my community. Today, I manage about 8 acres of farmland, specializing in heirloom Navajo varieties of corn,melon,watermelon, squash and beans. I have been involved with keeping my traditional food ways alive with the communities across the Navajo Nation by sharing what I have learned through the years. Being actively involved with growing and raising my own food allows me to promote food security and sovereignty within the community. Thank You.
